NC servo roller feeder with servo motor for automatic feeding during stamping

The NCF servo roller feeder is a high-precision automatic feeding device specially developed for the stamping industry. It can be used in conjunction with punch presses of various tonnages, progressive dies, compound dies, etc., to achieve stable and continuous feeding of coil material from uncoiling, leveling, to the stamping station. The device employs a closed-loop servo control system, where a servo motor and an electronic cam synchronously drive the high-hardness feeding roller. Real-time position feedback is provided by a high-resolution encoder, coupled with a low-inertia hollow water-cooled servo motor. When used with a positioning pin, the feeding accuracy of the entire machine can be stably controlled within ±0.03mm. Even under high-speed stamping and frequent start-stop conditions, it maintains consistent step distance and minimal error.

The NCF series is suitable for a wide range of metal materials, including cold-rolled steel plates, stainless steel plates, aluminum coils, copper coils, and high-strength steel plates, within a thickness range of 0.0–3.5mm. It supports the continuous conveyance of long strip-shaped coils, with the length of a single feed being arbitrarily settable from a few millimeters to 9999.99mm. The maximum linear speed can reach up to 20m/min, representing an efficiency improvement of approximately 50% compared to traditional mechanical feeders. On high-speed production lines such as automotive stamping parts, precision electronic components, metal stretching parts, terminal connectors, and motor cores, it is particularly suitable for high-speed stamping processes with more than 200 strokes per minute, as well as multi-process stretching, trimming, and forming combination processes. Its precision feeding advantages are especially evident for thin materials (<0.5mm) and high-strength plates.

The entire machine adopts an integrally cast frame and high-strength guide rail structure, featuring good rigidity and strong shock resistance, and can maintain geometric accuracy over a long period of time. The feeding roller is made of high-quality 45# steel, which undergoes high-frequency quenching, hard chrome plating, and precision cylindrical grinding treatment. The surface hardness can usually reach HRC58–62, providing excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance, while also maintaining smoothness and preventing damage to the material when in contact with the plate, reducing indentation and scratching. The internal transmission gears are made of 20CrMnTi alloy steel, which is carburized and quenched before being precisely ground and shaped. The four gears mesh precisely to ensure stable feed with zero clearance and no return error under high load and high speed conditions, significantly reducing maintenance frequency and downtime risks.

In terms of the control system, the NCF servo feeder is equipped with a dedicated numerical control controller and a human-machine interface, supporting multi-language display. Operators can complete parameter settings such as feeding length (0.01–9999.99mm), speed, acceleration and deceleration time, and pressurization method through the touch screen. It can store multiple sets of process recipes to meet the rapid switching needs of multiple molds and products. The system features closed-loop self-diagnosis and alarm functions, enabling real-time monitoring of servo load, feeding position, and operating status. In case of abnormalities, it automatically stops for protection, facilitating on-site troubleshooting and enhancing the safety and stability of the entire production line.

To adapt to the harsh environment of the stamping site, the equipment has been specially designed to enhance its reliability for long-term continuous operation. Key bearings and sliding parts are equipped with centralized lubrication or maintenance-free designs, coupled with sealed dust-proof structures, effectively preventing the intrusion of stamping oil mist and metal dust. The electronic control part adopts modular layout and shielding grounding measures, providing strong anti-interference capability. It can achieve signal linkage with the uncoiler, leveler, and punch control systems, easily forming a fully automatic stamping production line.

Overall, the NCF servo roller feeder integrates “high precision, high speed, and high stability”: it can ensure micron-level positional accuracy in ultra-thin material and small step processing, and provide sufficient clamping and pushing force in high-speed stamping of thick plates and high-strength materials. It is an ideal upgrade solution to replace traditional air feeders and mechanical roller feeders, especially suitable for mid-to-high-end stamping manufacturing enterprises with strict requirements for dimensional consistency, yield rate, and production cycle time.
