It can accurately identify over 3,000 colors and is particularly suitable for industries such as printing, packaging, lithium-ion batteries, electronic assembly, and plastic spraying, where strict color consistency is required. The controller is paired with a dedicated small high-power detection head, which forms an extremely small and concentrated single point of light through a fiber-optic emission structure. This design not only compresses the probe volume but also significantly enhances detection capability and stability, allowing it to easily handle small targets, complex backgrounds, and high-speed moving workpieces.<\/p>\n<p>The product utilizes a triple 16-bit RGB (red, green, blue) color light source, with each color being provided by an independent LED. The color signals reflected back from the target being measured are converted into 16-bit digital data within the receiver, enabling precise color recognition and minute color difference judgment through computation. This fundamentally ensures the repeatability and long-term stability of the detection. The three-color light rays are processed by a dedicated half-reflecting mirror and lens, combining into a straight beam, making the light spot more uniform and reducing the impact of surface gloss and angular changes.<\/p>\n<p>The CZ-V21 controller provides up to 8 detection channels, capable of simultaneously detecting 4 or 8 colors. Users only need to complete multi-point learning and switching on one amplifier, which saves installation space and reduces hardware costs. The output terminals are 4-channel NPN or PNP open collector outputs, with a maximum of 40VDC (30VDC) per channel and 100mA per channel, with a total output current of up to 200mA and a residual voltage of \u22641.0V. It can directly drive PLC inputs, relays, or small actuators. Built-in reverse polarity protection, overcurrent protection, and overvoltage protection ensure electrical safety for long-term operation.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of detection modes, three algorithms are provided: C mode, C+I mode, and Super I mode, to meet the needs of different materials and working conditions. C mode employs RGB value comparison, suitable for distinguishing color patterns, color codes, etc., and has good resistance to vibration and motion. C+I mode superimposes received light brightness information on the basis of RGB comparison, enabling the identification of minor color differences, such as color differences in printing batches and spray painting. Super I mode only judges changes in brightness and darkness, using the total intensity of received light in three colors to identify neutral colors such as black and white, as well as the presence or absence of objects. It also has good adaptability to changes in glossy surfaces and backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>The external functions are equally rich: it supports external calibration input and external switching input (C\/C+I mode), with a minimum input time of 20ms. Channels can be remotely switched or relearning can be triggered through external signals. In Super I mode, external offset input is provided for on-site correction of reference brightness. The built-in timer can be set to various modes such as OFF, OFF-delay, ON-delay, and single shot, with the time adjustable within the range of 1~1000ms. Each channel can be independently set, which helps filter out jitter and noise signals.<\/p>\n<p>The power supply voltage is 24VDC, allowing for a \u00b110% ripple. The normal mode power consumption is approximately 1.5W (maximum 62.5mA), while the Eco energy-saving mode consumes only 1W (maximum 42.0mA), making it suitable for large-scale centralized installation and use. The operating temperature range of the controller and probe is -10 to +55\u2103, and they operate stably under non-condensing conditions. The vibration resistance level is 10 to 55Hz, with a double amplitude of 1.5mm, enduring 2 hours in each of the X\/Y\/Z directions. The amplifier housing and cover are made of PC material, with a weight of approximately 150g including a 2m cable; the sensor head casing is made of PC or includes 304 stainless steel metal parts, and the lens cover is made of high-strength plastic, with a protection level of IP40 and a weight of approximately 40 to 45g.<\/p>\n<p>The large-spot long-distance CZ-C35 has a detection range of 28~52mm, and a spot diameter of approximately 4.5mm at a reference distance of 40mm, making it suitable for color detection of larger areas such as labels, printed marks, and packaging boxes. The small-spot gloss-eliminating CZ-C37 has a detection range of 11~20mm, and a spot diameter of approximately 1mm at a reference distance of 16mm, making it more suitable for fine positions such as small objects, circuit board pads, and tiny color blocks. Both detection heads support a combination of red\/green\/blue LED light sources and have strong suppression capability against ambient light, enabling reliable operation under conditions of 10,000 lux incandescent light and 20,000 lux sunlight.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the CZ-V21 multi-channel high-precision color sensor integrates high-resolution RGB algorithms, multi-channel output, a compact high-power detection head, and various detection modes.
